How to help toddlers fight heat?

For toddlers try giving them a few spoons of water every hour ; do cold water sponging of the body twice a day ; before sleep add a few drops of eucalyptus and lavender oil on their pillows.

My daughter is 6.5 years old and doesn't want to have much water. Is it fine if I add some flavor as she loves lemon juice and lassi?

Yeah but whole day you can’t give these. Better options are add jaggery or honey to water as it will prevent cough formation too in this weather.

In this hot summer if kids get cold and cough how to keep them warm and recover from cold as kids won't agree for steam and be warm.

Give lukewarm water with ginger juice pinch of turmeric and honey; gargle and steam is good to prevent any infection at this hour ; give mulethi with honey if cough is there ; for cold add one drop of eucalyptus and rosemary oil on handkerchief and let them inhale.

How to make sattu water?

You get sattu atta in market. Add one teaspoon in water with lemon and salt and sugar and mix it and give.

My younger daughter is 3 years old and she sweats a lot even in winter while sleeping. Is it normal ? In summer she sweats a lot, what should I do to reduce her body's internal heat?

That’s not normal. She might be having some deficiencies. For balancing body heat try giving her ajwain saunf jeera water morning before breakfast and give her banana empty stomach.

When we steam, shall we add salt and turmeric?

Nope plain water steam

Doctor, my son is only 2 months old. Is it safe to give him milk with a pinch of turmeric?

Not with milk if he is on your feed. One tablespoon of lukewarm water with a pinch of turmeric. Or else you can also try putting lavender oil one drop on his pillow.

My son is 3.5 years old. He has very dry fingertips that get cracked sometimes. I tried coconut oil and 1 ointment given by dr. But still it doesn't help. He drinks enough water in a day though.

Does he eat ghe, butter.

My daughter is 13 years old. Right from her birth her skin, whole body is very dry and scaly. During season change her skin is very itchy and many patches are seen. I have tried applying coconut oil everyday but of no help. I use moisture x soap for her. Please suggest something.

Children play outside in the heat or sometimes there is school in the month of April. I find that they feel drained out after a long bus drive. I have one more question. After taking a bath should we apply lotion or oil in Summer for kids who are below ten? Or need not to apply anything.

Apply lotion.

Any advice on child insomnia? She is 9 but wakes up 2 to 3 times at night. Not sure if it is for the bathroom or out of anxiety.

Can be due to hormonal changes. Waking up thrive doesn’t mean insomnia. It’s a disturbed sleep pattern to avoid giving her water post 8 pm .

I've also found that according to my son's age, his skin is a little dry. I apply olive oil on his whole body before bath and apply a moisturizer cream after bath. What else should I do to keep his skin supple?

Increase the intake of ghee and white butter. That’s more than sufficient, you need to take care of your diet. Include ghee in your diet.

You can do eye exercises at home. Do tratak with the help of a candle at home. For vitamin E include mushrooms ; cheese ; egg.
