Born in the beautiful valley of Dehradun, Ananya’s connection with colors was in-born. Her father indulged in painting in his spare time and young Ananya used to observe him quite keenly. Right from the age of two, Ananya started scribbling something on the paper and was simply unstoppable. At the age of three, Ananya got her first coloring book accompanied by an assortment of pastel colors. She jumped with a kind of surreal joy! Ananya’s first major win was in Khula Aasmaan 2017 quarterly contest and perhaps the most memorable one too. She has won three gold medals and one bronze medal in Khula Aasman painting contests. Besides that, she has also won prizes in Plows, Young Butterfly, Dream Catcher Pageants, Beyond Classroom, Picasso Art Contest, NINOS, Godrej, Faber-Castell, Apsara, Dessin Art Academy, Timios, Sakal Chitrakala Spardha 2018, Global Art. Ananya has also been considerably interested in story writing, an interest she first displayed in 2015. Around the same time when she had made a big advancement in fine art by copying the greatest European masters like Leonardo Da Vinci, Rossetti, Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, Brueghel, and others. Renoir has always been her favorite and she is delighted to see his paintings and talk about them.
